I'm running a set of Toyo FZ4's.  They were great for the first 15k
miles or so, but they've hardened after that and now my car howls
like it has a set of Mickey Thompson mud tires on it.  The traction
has also gone south.  I was actually looking into replacement tires
earlier today, so this is a well timed post.  Let the list speak!

Ditto on the Toyo FZ4s. I've had them on my stock wheels for 23K miles now.
They were pretty good at first, but now they suck hairy moose balls. No grip
in the dry, no grip in the wet, and loud as hell.

Steer clear of the FZ4s. There are far better choices out there for the
money.

My next set of tires will be either the Dunlop SP5000s or the Kumho Ecsta
712s.

'98 Silver Arrow, 48K miles

I'm in love with my Toyo Proxes T1-S'S, 205/45/ZR16.  They've got about 10k
km's on them now and they're still amazing, dry or wet.  I've run GA's and
SP8K's before this set and while the 8's were nice, these are phenomenonal.
 They still have plenty of tread of left, they're the stickiest things I've
EVER driven, and they're quiet to boot, even when I push them hard.  I know
I'll be getting another set after these.

'98 Vento VR6 "AGRESIVE"

I have had GA's, SP8k's and the A520's.  Of those three the SP8k's were my 
favorite.  I was happy with both dry and wet handling, a great all around 
tire in my opinion.  The A520 grips well, but they are LOUD!  From in the car 
it reminds me of my old jeep with the monster mudders.  That alone is enough 
to make me recommend against them, I won't buy them again.  How about the 
newer Yokes, Pravadas(?), anybody have experience with those?

I just got them a week before people warned against them . They really are not
all that bad. But compared to what i am used too they suck. they squeal like a
stuck pig!  In the straight in the slightest turn. I now know everybody is
looking at me on any spirited maneuver. But they grip decently. Way better
than the old GA's. but not as good as some real rubber. If you want a longer
living tire this is probably the way to go. If you want performance it is not.
Want to buy mine? less than 1K on them.
