While we are on this topic, I just installed H&R coilovers on my 97 DE, and
I have 17 x 7.5" BBS RC's (ET35) with Toyo T1+ in 215/40/17 and it rubs ALOT
up front in fast turns. Ride height is currently 13.25" up front and 13" in
the rear, still much lower than stock. I raised the fronts 3/4" front the
standard height H&R set them at. Am I stuck with the rubbing, or is there
another option besides different tires? I don't want a 205 because of the
lack of curb protection, so the 225/35/17 seems to be my only other option.
Is the rubbing due to width, or the oversize diameter of the 215/40/17? How
bad will it be with a 225/35/17? Any help is appreciated......
Later,
Greg
