The higher the number, the closest to the shock it will go.  So a higher
number will bring the wheel away from the fender lips, but then if you
go too high, you'll rub on the shocks.  I'm running 225/40/16 A520s on
mine and having rubbing in right front and left rear.  I originally had
SP8000s in the same size and only had rubbing at the left rear when
going over big bumps especially with people in the back.  I had the rear
fender lips shaved and the cut edges coated with urethane to help
prevent rusting.  The shaving eliminated all rubbing problems with the
SP8000s.  The Yoko A520s are apparently a little wider.  Your best bet
is to stick with the SP8000s.  I kick myself in the ass for getting the
Yokos.  The SP8000s are cheaper, have a higher speed rating, handle
better in dry and wet, and have the built in rim guard on for that size.

BTW, my rims are 16 x 7.5 with 35mm offset.  The cost to shave the
fender lips was $50.

Another option is to buy those Toyo T1 that Tire Rack is advertising for
only 100 a piece and let us know what happens.  :-)
