Andy,
The adjustment is useful, and not very difficult.  You just
remove the bolt from the swaybar end of the end link, crack
the lock nuts that keep the Hiem joints in alignment and
screw the Hiem joint up or down to lengthen/shorten the
link, depending on which way you're adjusting the bar, and
reinstall the link to the bar in the new position.  I've
found that for aggressive street driving in dry conditions,
that the stiffest setting works best for me.  If I drove in
slippery conditions a lot, I'd probably opt for the middle,
or full soft position.

It' s actually quite easy to adjust, though there are only 3 adjustment
points, and I find I like it best at full stiff anyhow-  I do fine tuning
with the Koni shocks.
The adjustment in the bar is done with the bolts at the ends of the bar-  3
holes for it to go into.  You can do it without jacking up the car, though
it's easiest with two jacks, and the rear in the air, as there's no load on
the bar at all that way.
