Not to sound like a complete doofus, but does anybody know what
sizes/thickness of tubing and material type I should order to make
a telescopic (aka: Schroeder) B-pillar harness bar? Obviously, I
need two pieces that can slide one inside of the other. I saw the
solid I/O Port camera bar in a radical M3 last weekend, and am
convinced that a telescopic version of it is the answer for my
harness problem. Since the tubing will likely be less than
$1.75/foot, I don't see any reason not to do it myself. Hey, I
can solder after all, so how much harder can welding be? ;-)
Does Dillsburg have an over-the-counter operation? I've been putting
off a trip to Harrisburg to check out the Simpson store, and could
possibly kill two birds with one trip. I hope that they don't take
credit cards, or I might leave with a DIY A-Mod VR6 kit..... :-)
