I never said anything, because no one else ever had any complaints about
Eurotech, but the same thing basically happened to me.
I ordered a set of used DE wheels from them. Les (the owner) sold them to
me and we spoke for about 10 minutes about VW's, mods, VWoA, etc. He was
very personable and seemed trustworthy over the phone.
The wheels I purchased were to be shipped out either that afternoon or early
that next morning. Great as far as I was concerned. Well, a week passed no
wheels. Two weeks, three weeks, four weeks. I was really busy with deaths
in the family so I didn't realize my wheels hadn't come. Well once I had, I
placed a call down to Eurotech and had to leave a message as I got no
answer. Well, no response to my phone call. So I decided to start emailing
both Ryan Carter (fellow lister) and Les to see if I could get some response
on what was going on. Well after a few more days of waiting, I got a
response from Ryan saying the wheels were going to be shipped out that day.
He offered an obligatory apology, and nothing else and that was the last I
heard from them, until I questioned Les at Waterfest about what took so long
on my wheels. He kind of stuttered around and said things just got screwed
up and he was sorry (sound familiar-EIP).
Moral of the story I waited over five weeks for a set of wheels to be
delivered that should have been there within a 3-4 days. Other than an
apology, Eurotech did nothing to take responsibility or explain what
happened or why they screwed up.
Caveat Emptor.
