<< Dave,

According to the wiring diagrams in my Bentley which only covers up till
1996, the Engine Speed(RPM) Sensor terminates at with a green/yellow wire at
 pinout 57 on the ECM.

There is another reference to the sensor which corresponds with the '95
wiring diagrams and that is a brown wire terminating at pinout 67 and a
green wire terminating at pinout 68. Can someone with a Bentley covering the
'97 model year confirm if the same sensor terminates at the same points? The
 sensor is labelled G28.

I've been thinking of trying to hook up a shift light to the ECM to see if a
signal can be found that will work and the closest possibility I've arrived
at is tapping into this sensor. Can anyone with more knowledge about our
cars or knows how to read wiring diagrams better than I do comment on this?

 Thanks,
 Eugene Oh

The tach signal is a green with black stripe wire. Easiest place to tap in is
at ECU harness connector. I think it's pin 8. Do not tap into engine speed
sensor.

Good luck,
