Matt,
I've heard of people using a small thin flat-head screwdriver to pry out
the stock bumper side markers and I've also heard that these people ran
into problems such as cracked side markers. Here's how I installed my
smoked bumper side markers. Inside the front wheel wells, there is a
protective plastic lining, which is held in place by a some screws.
Remove a couple of screws which anchor the plastic lining towards the
front of the wheel well (towards bumper) and peel back the edge and fold
it over so that it rests on top of the tire. Now, reach your hand on
the inside of the front bumper and feel the clip which is on one end of
the stock side marker light. Look at the smoked side marker lights in
your possession so that you can familiarize yourself with the location
of the clip. When you squeeze the clip you will then be able to remove
the side marker out from the bumper opening. Detach the bulb along with
the bulb carrier by twisting the base and insert the bulb and bulb
carrier into your smoked side marker light. Now, all you have to do is
click the smoked side marker back into the bumper opening and screw the
wheel well lining back into place and you will be finished, at least for
one side of your vehicle.
Hope this helps,
