As some of you may know, my 12/95 build has the 95 style DRLs
(parking lights and interior dashlights on all the time) that I hate.
And you all know that pulling the relay on these early 96 and 95 model
cars only gets rid of the headlights on. And of course I dont wantto
cough up the $80 for the euro switch. Well, today I was finaly sick
of the orange glow of the front parkign lights ruining the nice unitized
appearence on my white car. I pulled the headlight switch and looked at
the connectors. There is a little "S" shaped thingie that connects one of
the top row of pins to one on the bottom row. Well, even to my meager
electronics experience this looked suspicious, so I pryed it off. and
voila - no more parkign light DRL's ! I think what I did is safe.
Hopefully I wont smell bruning wires and melting plastic tonightt......

FYI,

-Doug

Hehe...try it again and check the passenger side taillight and parking
light. I bet they'll still be on. :-) I thought I made that amazing
discovery too until I walked to the passenger side.
