Very bias comments ahead.
The only aftermarket seats sold here in the US that meet FMVSS
standards are Recaros. Since your life depends on what happens
to your seat in an accident I would not trust any other seat.

Also if you had a serious accident the insurance company could
try to fight you if you have a seat that does not meet the US saftey
standards. They are not cheap and there are tons of cheap seats
on the market that cost half what a Recaro does.

With all the factory airbags built into the new car seats you will see
the aftermarket seat market get smaller in the future.

Yes I am bias towards Recaro.
