That's why I ordered a Canadian-spec center console from our friend Tom
Neumann, which fit perfectly and has a much larger cargo area in place of
the old cupholders.  You'll find that the cupholder piece is removable,
but but there's a hole underneath it.  The new console is around $60 or so.
