A3's are usually pretty quiet with respect to wind noise (definitely quieter
than >'97 Passats).  Believe it or not, wind noise from the moonroof or
pillars is most likely caused by missing underbody plugs.  If the noise has
been there since new, the guy prepping the car probably didn't put them in.
