Bad Idea!!!!

Putting the stoneguards on the foglights will only crack them.  I had the 3M 
guards on that I got from Potterman and the combination of the foglight not 
getting enough cooling, and the way the lens focuses on the stoneguard 
destroyed them!  The guard did not allow the foglight to properly cool, thus 
heating up the lens and cracking it.  Then, since the lens was focusing on a 
point on the guard(burning an ant with a magnifying glass analogy), the heat 
started to burn a hole in the stonguard.

Let it be known I'm not bashing Dean or Mike's company, just the fact that 
the guards ruined both lenses on my car...within 1 week of each other.

Install with caution!  Just my $.02!!

As a counterpoint, I've had some protective film on my fogs for almost 2
years and they are great...1 of my lenses was already cracked before
applying, and the other got cracked from an accident, but the film
itself has caused me no problems at all.  I can't remember what brand it
was, but Xpel (or something similar) seems familiar.  The kit came with
fog, turn signal, and headlight.  And I know the ones on my headlights
have saved me some money.  L8z

I'm guessing it depends on the materials used, because my friend Adam who
had a Quattro coupe had some kind of lens protectant, not sure which brand,
and it had held up from the time he bought his new fogs which were off a
porsche so he had wanted some kind of protection because they were obviously
cheap as hell, anyway they worked beautifully for about a year and a half...
and then they were blown up in an accident and that was the end of that. But
thank you for the warning, I guess I'll see if there is somekind of
warranty.
